SHERMAN, TX -- Early voting began Tuesday in Texas for the March 4th primary. You can vote until Friday, February 29th.

We talked to election officials around the area, and they say the turnout has been good. Officials say they have been very busy in Grayson County and steady all the way over to Montague County.

The halls of Grayson County Courthouse were busier than normal on Tuesday, and at last count, about 300 people voted at that location alone, with a higher number of Democrats than Republicans participating.

Voters we talked to say they were anxious to cast their ballot, but each person had a different reason for stopping by the courthouse to make their voices heard.

"I just want to get it done. I’m retired, and don't have nothing else to do and I want to get it done," early voter Thelma Stevenson said.

"The fact that we have a woman running makes it different for me, because it's always been predominately men," another early voter, Vailey Richardson, said.

Officials say many people vote for the first time during presidential election years. If you plan to early vote, you have until February 29. Just be sure to bring your voter registration card and photo ID.

Can anyone describe what the caucus is that takes place on election day after the polls close. I'm very interested in it but can't seem to locate what it really means and who exactly your second vote goes to.

Anyone who votes for Obama because he is black, or against Obama because he is black, is stupid.
