OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Democrats have chosen the delegates who will attend this year's national party convention in Denver.
More than 450 credentialed Democrats gathered yesterday to choose which 38 people would represent the state at the Democratic National Convention in August.
New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton will receive 24 delegates from Oklahoma after winning the state's primary election earlier this month with 55 percent of the vote.
Among the Clinton supporters selected were state lawmakers Scott BigHorse, Al McAffrey and Connie Johnson.
Former Congressman Brad Carson and state Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland were among the 14 delegates chosen for Illinois Senator Barack Obama.
Oklahoma also learned the identity of its ninth superdelegate. Oklahoma City lawyer Reggie Whitten joined Governor Brad Henry among the delegates who aren't pledged to a single candidate.
