The need is great in Grayson County this year, and the United Way is determined to make a difference.

This morning the Grayson County Chapter of the United Way kicked off their campaign, announcing they need $1.4 million to help local charities. To make the point, volunteers hosted their own battle of wills between "I can" and "I can't". With volunteers acting as boxers in an actual ring with announcers and big boxing gloves, they used the example of those who will make a difference as opposed to those who simply don't try.

The United Way of Grayson County helps more than 20 local charities every year ranging from children's services, to battered women, to after school care and guidance for teenagers.
