To honor this week's A+ Athlete, we travel over to Marshall County to Kingston High School here's Christina Melvin.

This week’s A+ Athlete is Garrett Bishop from Kingston High School. Garrett is an all-star on the basketball team. The Redskins participate in the Lake Country Conference and made it to playoffs this year. Garrett works hard to keep Kingston on top.

Garrett ranks sixth in his class, with a 3.7 grade point average. He's the yearbook editor and the National Honor Society treasurer, not to mention he's active in student council. All of this keeps Garrett very busy, but he says it's nothing compared to everything his mother has done for him.

Garrett plans to make mom proud by going to college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and playing basketball. He's not sure what he wants to major in yet, but coaching is definitely in his future.

Congratulations to Garrett Bishop on being named this week’s A+ Athlete.
