As the person who reads every comment submitted to every story, I must say it's entertaining to say the least.  Of course, I want to approve EVERYONE's comment, but I have to say no sometimes.

If you've ever commented and not seen it later on the story, there are a few things we just can't do...

1) We can't post another 'version' of the story...We're the news outlet, so leave that part to us.

2) We can't post bad-mouthing of people....It's libel and can't be on our site.

3) We don't post comments unrelated to the story...If it's about a fire in Sherman, and you're talking about the Ardmore FD, that has no place on that story.

Overall, commenting has been a great success for us, and we're glad to make our site as interactive as possible.

Thanks for coming to, and long live MR. X !!!!!

I've been watching channel 12 news for 16 years, I do enjoy hearing about local news, but for the past few years it seems like the news is all Oklahoma news. There are news stories in Grayson county and I would like to hear more about them, not just every car accident or shooting in Ardmore. Thank you

I always watch the local news early am. I understand that many times we use genaric terms, and I am probably more sensitive to some than others. As an example on the news am today the individual injured in the motorcycle accident was not "Care flighted" but lifted out by "air ambulance", "airlifted","Medical Helecoptered",or whatevered. We must keep in mind that "CareFlighted"is a Company out of the Dallas area, not our local air medical evacuation company. The important point here is that the injured person was airlifted out of the scene within 20 minutes of notification by our outstanding local EMS Responders/Fire Department. Within an hour or so this individual was in surgery, the most important thing to remember is help within that "golden hour".

On the alcohol sales it is probably not such a good idea, but if it follows the law and you dont like it change the law dont just go against it if I break it i get put in jail. That is the biggest problem now. Congress just keeps changing without a vote.We have abandoned our principals and we will pay for it.

I am very concerned ths evening, as many in my neighborhood are, about the safety precautions that have always been missing at Waterloo Lake. After yet another drowing, I am wondering why there are no life vests available to rent or borrow, no life guards on duty, and no appropriate supervision at Waterloo Lake. In my humble opinion, obviously, simply posting that there is no life guard on duty is not enough! I am the parent of a 15 year old...we live near Waterloo Lake. I hope the parents of this young teen will pursue legal action and at very least bring an awareness to the City of Denison for the growing need for safety! Perhaps something positive will occur as a result of this loss. Somethng should have been done to prevent this terrible tragedy.Something should be done to prevent it in the future.

KXII was at the "Hall of Honor" induction ceremony in Ardmore today (6-14-10), in which two of our local veterans were honored for thier selfless acts of heroism in a time of war. The news station evidently thinks that only mentioning the short highlights of the story need be necessary, and at the end of the evening broadcast would be sufficient. When in fact in my opinion the story should have had more detail about these veterans and their stories in the time they served our country, and provided us with the freedom of speech and the right to do what I am doing right at this moment. These men and women sacrificed so much for us, and I feel they should be honored to the fullest extent, no matter what conflict they served in. Today is National Flag Day, it was also never mentioned. Do we take these freedoms for granted? Have we become so numb to what really goes on in the rest of the world, that we take our own freedoms for granted and forget what got us here?

All political affilations aside, isn't it a sad place when parents don't want their children to hear a speach made by the President of the United States of America. We have 18 year old boys fighting a war on terror, and 17 year olds that their parents are telling them they can not see a speach by the President. Isn't that pathetic.

How many people have to die on I35 northbound to Gainesville before drivers slow down & pay attention to signs?

Mr. Griffin, You say you read every comment and decide whether or not they are posted on KXII website. I feel I must complain again about the comments you do allow to be posted. Rule #2 states you can't post bad-mouthing of people yet every time I log on and read comments there is at least one bad-mouthing comment and usually many more. I feel that when you allow these comments to be posted you are distracting away from the story you're telling and working against the interaction you say you are trying to promote. The story ends up being a vehicle for mud slinging, with each poster trying to outdo the other, the original story is lost and meaningless. Now if this is your intent then please ammend YOUR RULES because recent comments on your site are the most obtuse and inept I've seen. It's hard to believe someone with intelligence reads these comments. Please prove me wrong and follow your own rules. It's disturbs me to think you consider people bashing positive and interactive!

I was just wanting to comment on how much sports runs-over on your scheduling. will it be like that most of the season, with golf and baseball or football? It is disruptive on a lot of shows. thank you
