Oklahoma Playoffs - who's in, who's out

The dust has settled on the Oklahoma high school playoffs.  Here's what we know:

Ardmore has qualified for the playoffs, but as the 4th place team in the district.  They'll have to face the top ranked team in the state in Guthrie in the opening round on the road.

Durant is in.  Despite losing to Bixby, the Lions got some help from McAlester.  So Durant will enter the playoffs as a four seed as well.

Plainview and Purcell had already clinched.  The other two spots in 3A-2 go to Sulphur and Marlow.  Sulphur beat Lone Grove to get in.  Marlow beat Madill.  Madill has been eliminated.

Only one spot was left in 2A-4 and it goes to Coalgate.  With Kingston losing to Tishomingo, and Coalgate holding the tie-breaker over Kingston, that puts Coalgate in.  Kingston is out.  Antlers and Marietta both lost, making this a relatively simple playoff picture.  So it goes 1. Davis 2. Tishomingo 3. Valliant 4. Coalgate.  The top two will host 1st round.

Wynnewood captured the final spot in 1A-3.  Healdton was eliminated with a loss to Ringling.  The Blue Devils will take the top seed.  Velma-Alma is #2, Walters #3, and Wynnewood #4.

Hope that clears up the playoff picture.  Pairing should be out soon.
