OU Pro Day a disaster

4-10-08

I don't know what else to call it, other than a disaster.  Malcolm Kelly did nothing but hurt his draft stock by firing off a 4.7 40 time.  Ouch!  Reggie Smith didn't do much better.  Hopefully NFL teams will look at game tape more than their stop watch.  We all know Kelly can play.  But teams that burn 1st round draft picks on receivers want break-away speed.  4.7 won't cut it.  There's a chance now that Kelly could be there at 22 and 28 for the Cowboys if they so choose.  There's also a chance he slides into the 2nd round.  Is he worth one of the Cowboys top picks?  It was thought that Kelly would go in the top 15 just a few days ago, but now, who knows?

Posted by: Beatdown Kelly had some VERY choice words for the OU staff not only about asking him to play the bowl game with a tear in his knee but also about having him run on a surface he wasn't comfortable with on Pro Day. Kelly is a Texas boy, and it just took him a few years later to find out that OU sucks!

malcolm, and reggie, was my favorite ou-players, i wished they stayed for there senior season, it would give them a better resume. but its all about the money nowdays,no loyalty too your school anymore. wish them the best. i think if you signed for 4-years, you should get your degree, and honor it. back in the 70,s all players stayed for 4-years. its all about the money. i love my sooners win or lose. iam a native american indian, and proud of sam bradford, he is a native american indian, thank you bob stoops for signing him, he will go down in history at ou as a great quarterback, if he stays 4-years, and could break all the records at ou. best of luck too my sooners in 2008. as long aswe beat texas and osu, iam satisfied, i can,t tand those two colleges. we got ripped off at tech last year again by the refs at the end, i was there at the game, at there stadium, they do not show instant replay, too tech advantage. i look forward too playing them in norman, this year. i will be there.
