Cowboys Draft Grade

I don't know how it started, but for some reason, football fans clamor for letter grades on how their team drafted.  I don't claim to be a draft expert at all, but here's how I think the Cowboys drafted this weekend:

B-

I don't think you can give any team anything higher than that if they didn't draft a "gamebreaker."  Not one of the Cowboys' choices could be qualified as such.  However, I do think that Dallas got exactly what they wanted out of this year's draft.

They needed another running back to compliment Marion Barber... enter Felix Jones.

They needed cornerbacks... enter Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick.

After the Akin Aydoele and Anthony Fasano trade to Miami, Dallas needed a backup tight end... enter Martellus Bennett.

Dallas also lot almost all of their special teams playmakers, and nearly everyone they picked up has a significant degree of special teams experience.

They passed on wide receivers, safeties, and most notably Rashard Mendenhall, so it wasn't a perfect draft.  Yet, whenever a team says that they got everybody they wanted AND stockpiled some picks for next year, you just can't criticize how they drafted.

if felix went anywhere else besides arkansas, cowboys would of took mendenhall. he was #2 rb in the draft an can carry the load if somethin happens to barber. i was really hoping they would trade one of the first round picks an come away with boldin or williams but it didnt work out. when it didnt should of traded down that pick into 2nd round got a corner, and sweed or kelly or a reciever for the future.
