Time for Stars to Shine

With the Mavericks season in the rearview mirror, it's time to focus on DFW's best team, the Dallas Stars.  They're the only Dallas sports team to get out of the first round since the Mavs lost to the Miami Heat in 2006.  They also have a 3-1 series lead on the 2nd seeded San Jose Sharks.  If they pick up one more win against San Jose, they'll likely play the Detroit Red Wings in the biggest playoff series Dallas has seen since D-Wade got every call in sight in 2006.

Best team? funny. Denvers best team was the nuggets. Are the avalanche better for avoiding elimination until the second round? The only difference and similarity is that the Nuggs faced the NBA's hottest team, L.A., the avalanche made it through to the second round only because they didn't have to face the stars in the first round. As the rockies can tell you, enjoy it while it lasts and laugh in their face when you hoist the western conference trophy. If you have what it takes....

I'll be at game 3, round 3, (first home game of round 3) against Detroit. Driving over 15 hours to get there... NO WAY I'm going to miss that game! GO STARS!!!

I was glad to see the fan support given the Stars at last nights game. To see American Airlines Center near full capacity until 1:30 this morning is an incredible sight. The fans just are unbelievable and as the playoffs continue it just gets bigger. I have followed the team for the past two years and have become an avid fan. I already have the rest of the playoff tickets in hand and can't wait to see them through the Stanley Cup. GO STARS!
