Day 2 - Big 12 Media Days

It was another big day here in Kansas City.  The Oklahoma State Cowboys took center stage.   That means Mike Gundy was asked about 30 different ways about his "rant" after the Tech game last year.  Gundy was a good sport.  I can't imagine the beating that today must have been for him.  I think we all had fun with the stories we filed here today, I know I did.

As far as football, the Pokes plan on having a pretty good outfit.  Zac Robinson is the undisputed starter at QB.  That's a start.  Unfortunately, he's kind of a middle of the road signal caller in a league that has Bradford, McCoy, Reesing, Daniel, Harrell and McGee.  I think these Cowboys will be strong.  They're productive on offense and getting faster on defense.  It will be interesting to see how the offense responds after losing it's offensive coordinator.

I kind of thought OSU was the 4th best team in the South when I came down here, behind Oklahoma, Texas and Texas Tech.  Nothing I've heard has really changed that.  It's a tough league, but OSU could easily be 8-4 with likely losses at Missouri, at Texas, at Kansas, and home against OU.  Games that could go either way:  at Washington, at Colorado.  Games they should win:  vs. Houston, vs. Missouri St., vs. Troy, vs. A&M, vs. Baylor, vs. Iowa St.

Tomorrow the Sooners talk.  They've lost 4 straight BCS games.  I can't imagine that they'll be asked about that!

Baylor? Is Baylor still in the league? Drop them and pick up TCU in the Big 12. And personally, I would think you would have better to do than beat the proverbial dead horse (his-post-game rant last year- like he's the only coach ever to go off against a reporter who most likely deserved it). As far as losses go, this IS the Big 12 here- who knew last year that Kansas was going to do so well, or Nebraska fall so far down? All I can tell you is, stay tuned.

OSU is terrible. They'll lose both of those games at Wash. and Colo. They'll probably lose to A&M too. I say 6-6.
