Can Denison beat Lincoln?

The Denison Yellow Jackets are undefeated on the season, a perfect 11-0. Lincoln hasn't lost on the field, but thanks to an ineligible player, they're 6-4. In fact, their defense has only allowed 2 touchdowns on the year. Against South Oak Cliff, they only allowed 4 first downs and 25 yards total offense. However, this is an undisciplined team. 8 players were ejected in their game against SOC. This will be Denison's biggest test of the year. But if there is an offense that can crack this Lincoln bunch, I have to believe that the Jackets will be the team to get it done.

To Anonymous: Denison has produced far more than just a running game. They have played outstanding on both offense and defense. They played a lot through the air against Lincoln and did a great job. The defense also held them scoreless after the 1st quarter. That proves once again that the Jackets are not a one dimensional team.

Posted by: Sports Authority Regardless of the outcome Friday I would like to thank KXII in advance for their coverage of the Jackets this season. Unfortunately, our Mickey Mouse newspaper, the Sherman Disgrace gives them second class, page three coverage. Today, however, Denison was not even on page three. I'm convinced that IF Denison does lose the Sherman Disgrace will make that page one worthy. Keep looking for us on page three, just not on gameday!

Denison will win by two touchdowns 21-7. The Jackets must not turn the ball over and they must be patient on offense. Lincoln will have to drive all the way to endzone for points, they have no kicking game what so ever. Denison's 21 points may all be field goals but they will win. Denison plays better as a team and they are going up against a football group called Lincoln High School. They are not a team.

disciplined or not they only have 1 player from last year on O, good D or not (5 returning) that offense is going to be overmatched, badly. And their D come on EVERYONE knows Denisons "1" dimensional offense can only be stopped by a very lagre lead. Denison 44 Lincoln 14.

Unlike most games in this day and age where the team with the ball last wins.....this one could be first to score wins. Should be low scoring and as in most games, turnovers WILL determine this winner. Denison 17 Lincoln 12... Denison fans would like to invite all the Sherman fans to come root on the Jackets, unless.....there at a basketball game. Jacket fans, as usual,will outnumber their opponents. This week something like 6,000 to 47.

David your right, this will be our biggest test of the year. Unfortunatly this will be our ONLY test of the year. We're not prepared to go deep in the playoffs for two reasons. First, we are in week twelve and we haven't seen a good defense yet. (Frisco Liberty being the best Defense we've seen and they did'nt even make the playoffs) And Second, we don't have a balanced offense. When you run up against a SIC'EM defense and you can't throw the football downfield, it's hard to win in the playoffs.

Denison will win. Then they will play sulfur springs and beat them. The rockwall heath and beat them. Then everman and beat them. Then beat Kerrville Tivy to win state. Well thats what id like to happen but Lincoln is a very athletic group. Defense is the name of there game but they havent played anyone good yet and this will be there test. But at the first sign of adversity they will start pointing fingers at eachother and it will destroy them as a team. Thats what happens with most DISD schools. Amazing talent but poor coaching, and too much EGO and smack talk. When Denison gets ahead by 2 touchdowns Lincoln will fall apart. Denison will win by a big margin.

Tiger must play for Lincoln. When I think Lincoln, discipline doesn't come to mind. The fact that they tried to slip in an ineligible player, AGAIN, says it all. I hope Denison beats these thugs, and I'm from Sherman.

To "tigertiger", you must be uninformed about the WHACK Dallas district they are in, undisciplined is exactly what they are. That coach puts his best athletes on Defense, and all they are supposed to do is play fast D and use their speed to beat people. Take for example Southlake Carroll, they have half the athletes denison has, but they are so displined and run the exact game plan. thats why they are so good. 8 players get ejected and you call that disipline??? How many guys have gotten ejected from Denison in 5 years. Maybe 3! Now thats what you call discpline. Your a joke.

Posted by: tigertiger hey dave... define undisciplined... what would u do if you saw 4 guys stomping and kicking a teammate about 20 feet from where u were standing. i'd like it takes more discipline to read your keys, execute a great game plan, and follow the great leadership of your coaches. you don't go thru a whole season and give up only 2 td's and not be disciplined. you sound a bit uninformed
