Playoffs Week 3

There are alot of huge third round playoff games out there this weekend. The Denison Yellow Jackets are one of 16 teams remaining in their bracket. A win puts them in the elite 8. I think there's a good chance they'll beat Sulphur Springs, but it's certainly not a given when you're playing teams that have made it this far.

At one point, we thought Sulphur might be the 3rd best team in their district. Now, they may be one of the best 3 teams in the state. The Bulldogs are just a win away from the state semifinals.

The Thackerville Wildcats are already in the state semi's. That's no surprise. They have dominated everyone they have played. They'll finally get a test this Friday when they take on Temple. It would not surprise me one bit if they end up playing for a championship next weekend.

And how about the Pilot Point, Pottsboro, and Callisburg district? All 3 are still alive after 2 rounds. If Pottsboro and Callisburg win, they'll play each other next week for a trip to the state semifinals. Keep your fingers crossed for that rematch.

Lindsay only has 6 seniors on their roster. Cody Bounds has done a great job getting this team to the 3rd round. Nobody expected that. This week, they'll play a team that beat them by 3 touchdowns in the pre-district, so they'll have their hands full.

Celina is still in. Anyone surprised? Looks like they've flipped the switch after losing 3 regular season games. If they beat Pleasant Grove, they're right back in the regional finals.

Pottsboro is 2a right now. They might have played whiteboro, farmersville, princeton, but only farmersville made the playoffs and they were eliminated in the 1st round. Put those Cards back in their old 3a district which consist of Argyle, Celina, Gainesville, Prosper, Sanger, and Whitesboro and see who makes the playoffs.

whomver left the comment about Pottsboro only being successful due to dropping to 1A needs to do some research before posting. We rolled Farmersville, Whitesboro, and Princeton all this year. Last I checked, they are 3A. Go Big Red

Our boys showed true sportsmanship against all odds. Grandview was dirty and showed very bad sportsmanship, they should be turned in, it was AWFUL!! Way to go CARDS! You are AWESOME!!

Yeah. Pottsboro is going all the way for sure. This group of guys definately has what it takes. They have the motivation and intelligence that the Cards have been lacking for quite a while! GET SOME!

Pottsboro has been alot better in every sport, since dropping from 3a to 2a. Whoever they hired to watch their enrollment numbers should be administrator of the year every year pottsboro goes through reallignment. Put them back in their old 3a district and measure their success.

A lot of people don't the wildcats much of a chance this weekend. Some polls say they are a 20 point underdog, but that's ok we like flying under the radar. Unbeaten don't mean a lot anymore our district is one of the toughest in the state, don't believe me just take a look at the state playoff line up this weekend. No I not saying its a sure thing for the wildcats, but they will come to play.

Denison will beat Sulphur Springs. Believe it! I also hope Pottsboro will win this week, but that's going to be tough against Caddo Mills. They good.
