Cowboys could learn a thing or two from Giants
The Cowboys could learn a lot from the NFC East Division champs, besides how to win a playoff game.
The Giants get rid of bad apples.
See Plaxico Burress. He's in Florida now, nursing his gunshot wounds, and looking for employment elsewhere.
Now see Terrell Owens. He's at Valley Ranch, probably in Jason Garrett's office, crying and whining.
The Giants have a coach who doesn't take any bull.
Tom Coughlin is a tough coach who demands discipline from his players.
Dallas has a coach in Wade Phillips who likes to watch bull riding, I assume, since he's always yelling, "Let the Cowboys ride!!!"
It's been said teams take on the personality of their head coach. I would describe Phillips as apathetic, uninspiring, but approachable.
That sound about right for the Cowboys?
The Giants don't make excuses.
Everyone on the Cowboys offense, with the exception of maybe Jason Witten, has an excuse it seems.
Flozell Adams' obligatory false start penalties.
Tony Romo throwing interceptions he later would call "essentially punts."
Wide receivers crying about not getting the ball while at the same time unable to break free at the line of scrimmage.
And a center, Andre Gurode, who can't seem to get the snap count down. Not like that's important for the guy responsible for hiking the ball.
Enjoy the NFL Playoffs, everyone. I, for one, hope the Cowboys miss out this year so Jerry will make the changes that have to made for this team to make any noise in December and January.
Well, any noise besides the wide receivers' crying.
