I was going to post a follow up to my first posting on this series, but Game 2 didn't tip off until nearly 10 p.m. Texas time.

That is unacceptable.

And don't think the NBA doesn't realize this. Dallas/Fort Worth is one of the top five TV markets in the country. By choosing to start this game according to Colorado time, the NBA shot itself in the foot with TV ratings.

They could have started at 8:30 or 9:00 Dallas time and you would have little complaining from Mavericks fans, but they chose, I guess, to wait until the end of the first game on the TNT doubleheader?

So, I know the Mavs lost, Josh Howard got hurt, and Dirk had a good game.

Again, thank you, NBA.

Yeah, don't think this has anything to do with accommodating Colorado time. Game started by 9:00 here... meaning it ended after 11:30pm. People at the game would have got back home well after midnight on a work week. Who knows what the NBA is thinking... the early game started 8pm EST, which is late for them. It seems to be done to accommodate West Coast fan so the games don't start before 5pm their time, but it's inconvenient for the rest of the country. It's fairly ridiculous.

The tipoff was late for us too. I would have preferred it starting eariler, but they had to showcase their MVP, so we got the short end of the stick. It's too bad too, because it was a good, close game for the most part.
