Thackerville started 5-1 this year then got bit by the injury bug pretty hard, and with 8 man theres not a whole lot of depth on these teams. tville played 6 time defending state champs in first round with everyone healthy and played the a pretty close game. the vla loss was attributed completly to their injuries with the starting qb rb and their best receiver out, not to mention another d-line guy that was the best they had. just had alot of bad luck ccna certification for the cats this year but they are rebuilding and will be the team to beat in 8 man football in a few years with the talent coming up.

Well,Congrats to all the area teams for their great seasons!Denison ,PilotPoint,Caliisburg ,Leonard,Sherman.Yes,just want to say all-state,and AP Defensive Player of the Year is a great honor when you consider all the athletes in the state and then a local ,hometown boy recieves the honor this is greatness!!! I know we should have known this kid (Tevin Daniels) should be wearing black and gold instead of blue and gold 15 miles away.Jodie ,hire his daddy there is three more boys behind him and the daniels name was promient in Whitewright sports for years now we can start reloading like the other schools do.DO WE KNOW HOW TO LEGALLY RECRUIT ??????????? So like you said TIME WILL TELL and IT HAS!!!! I guess you see now that "Dorman Kid" was able to "Hold Up" and did an AWESOME job! Callisburg did very well this season and we as a community are blessed to have them representing us! There are not enough words to commend this TEAM of WILDCATS! i agree w/ concerned person. durant had an okay season til we got embarresed by ardmore and 2 top it off the OSSAA jacked up our season so we went 0-10 instead of 4-6. the pinball wizard was good while he lasted, he'll get another apeal in Janurary 2 see wether he can play baseball or not. It totall agree with u concerned person yur not alone.

yeah we need to fire cordell. he's only won more games in 4 yrs than durant had the previous 9 yrs. as far as daryn. i echo what concerned person said.

Daryn is a great kid to start with who made a mistake and is tired of being judged for that mistake. He has done everything they asked him to do. On Coach Cordell's part he is a great man and a great coach. We didn't know all the facts and the coaches turned in all the information. The state made a mistake and Byron Cordell played within the rules and he has done the best he can with the amount of local talent available.

YEA PIRATES! Many times 1A teams are ignored, but the Pirates were heard Friday night. They entered the game 27 point underdogs to #3 ranked Quinlan Boles and with 4 minutes left in the FIRST QUARTER were on top 28 - 0! We were truly "David" facing our "Golaith" for no one could have imagined this game. God is Awesome!

Many times the 1A schools get ignored, but the Pirates weren't ignored Friday night! Went in 27 underdogs to the #3 1A team in state and with 4 minutes left in the first quarter the Pirates were on top 28 - 0!! Final score was 56-14 with Coach David giving several JV players an opportunity to step on the field and share in the moment.

This Durant Football has been a nightmare this year....First we drag in a kid who is innellegible in another state (that is a great lesson for our kids). Then we get al upset when we find out he is inelligible here as well. haha. What did we think would happen...Byron Cordell has done nothing for this team and town except continue to run off good players and severely handicap our local talent. Byron only won the last two years because his team already had talent....he is developing none and promoting a bad ethical standard for our kids... I will put up with this no longer... Everyone should approach the school board over his contract and demand he be gone. Daryn has ruined enough in this town and should be gone as well. I am tired of caving for a spoiled brat with legal problems who is influencing our young people.

Well Durants Daryn Alves "reportetly" played the ardmore game as #19 instead of #2 cause he was ineligible. So on wednes day is when we find out whether we illegally played him or not fromm the OSSAA. Its either 4-6 or 0-10.

Hey Madill, we feel your pain. Van Alstyne is 10-0 this year too. No axe to bury. Our Volleyball team made the playoffs too. We've got a great group of kids that have fought hard as a TEAM this year against some pretty tough opponents. The entire community is so proud of all our athletes. Great job on a great season. Plainview has come up and done a good job of playing football, but Madill is the better of them. Both teams could learn a little sportsman ship, how about it coach's? Plainview and Sulphur seem to swap every two years from 2A to 3A. I believe most of the other 2A-4 schools are small in comparrison? Tish could probably go to A class, coalgate probably close too. Plainview/Davis should be a good game with Davis coming out on top. Would like to see Davis and Madill play this season while both at the top of their game.

Leonard is a legit 2A play-off team ,Cowan got hurt early in the 3rd but Reggie Robinson,pick them up and carried the offense the rest of the game.The backup quarterback can play for many other schools also and he is just a junior.And yes the Tevin Daniels kid is a real problem for an offensive lineman,he was held pretty good for a quarter and then all hell broke loose ,he is quick ,strong and determined,he had three sacks and pressured the QB the whole 2nd half with 2 and 3 people blocking him.(I see why he is on the state leader board) good luck Coach Fletcher and staff ,great job rebuilding !!!!!!!!!!!!!Come back to Howe !

You know,its pretty bad when the kids from S&S wont even get on a great web site like this and comment about their game.It is the whole administration at the High School, from the coaches, to the teachers, to the Superintendant, to that pathetic school board.Yes, we have had and still do have some really good players.There is no way we should get beat like this every week FOR YEARS, and never smell but a win or two,losing breads losing, and it's time for some changes.Everyone i mentioned HAS to go, so we can get more boys to try out, and stop this losing streak.Our kids are not this enept.

Durant against harrah was an absoulute thriller. Durant was up big early, harrah came back, was ahead, durant's Jon garza ran it in for a TD. Harrah turned it over on downs. Durant did the same next drive on the goal line. with 1 second left harrah had a " 1st and 99". the pass was intercepted. happily ever after. durant won on senior night. I grew up in Ardmore but now live in Allen, TX. I would love to see a game between Ardmore and Allen. Allen won the Division 1 5A state championship in 2008.

Callisburg might have lost lastnight against Aubrey, but I am VERY VERY proud of them. We stopped TWO of their records lastnight. #1 We stopped them from scoring on their opening possession. #2 We stopped their 0 points allowed. We scored TWICE on them in the 3rd quarter. So if they are so great (as you think), why haven't they been to the payoffs more often? I agree with cburg fan. Look at Callisburg over the past 5 years. Playoffs every year--and I GUARANTEE some of those boys could run circles around your Sherman wienies!! And I'd put their line up against yours any day--those Wildcats are big boys with bad attitudes!! And lay off Whitesboro--that school district is at the bottom of the 3A range and are up against teams like Celina, Prosper, and Argyle. Those kids give it their all every week. Sherman couldn't even beat Celina!! Course, they haven't been able to beat Denison for several years...but wouldn't want to turn the knife any more than already have!!

TO: Real Bearcat Fan from Sherman My comment about the last time Sherman was in the playoffs was directed to the smack coming from MP who thinks 2A and 3A players cannot make the transition to 4A football. MP says, "I love how you small 2A & 3A folks think that your players are so phenomenal because they put up these big #'s against small schools. when they are really just average kids if they were to move up to 4A or 5A." So, according to MP, 2A and 3A aren't that good in 4A. Hmmm...according to your observation, Sherman isn't either!! Thanks for pointing that out!! Lmao

I seriously doubt Plainview would stand a chance against Madill this year. They are the real deal. After seeing Bethel hand it to Plainview in the super scrimmage and dickson almost coming back and beating them. Its a good thing Plainview is 2A this year.

I have watched S&S now for several years there record has never showed a great team but that doesn't mean they haven't had the athletes. It has always been poor coaching. I know the coaching staff and from what I gathered they don't care. To self centered and administration continues to blame on the kids. Its not the kids its the coaching. Can't change your whole coaching staff and expect kids to respond to that.

To Bearcat Fan from Whitesboro, the last time Sherman made a long run in the playoffs was 2004 when they were State Semi-Finalists. Maybe we'll enjoy some of the same success as that underrated team. The Sherman Bearcats have a long history of fielding playoff teams. How about those Whitesboro Bearcats? I don't think so.

Ardmore looked real promising tonight against noble. 28-0 should have been a lot worse pulled starters early. 0-3 in games that dont matter, but the only season games that count 1-0
