Several teams in the area have surprised early, some have disappointed. The Sherman Bearcats have to be happy with their 2-1 start, while Denison is a bit disappointed to be 2-1. Both teams appear to be in good shape as they continue to prepare for district play. Gainesville is 3-0, what a great start for the Leopards. Ardmore has struggled and so has Durant. Will they both be able to "flip the switch" when district play begins? Madill looks tough. Celina has already lost twice. What impressions do you have through the first few weeks of high school football?

On Coach Cordell's part he is a great man and a great coach. We didn't know all the facts and the coaches turned in all the information. Both teams could learn a little sportsman ship, how about it coach's? Plainview and Sulphur seem to swap every two years from 2A to 3A. I believe most of the other 2A-4 schools are small in comparrison? Tish could probably go to A class, coalgate probably close too. Plainview/Davis should be a good game with Davis coming out on top. I agree with cburg fan. Look at Callisburg over the past 5 years. Playoffs every year--and I GUARANTEE some of those boys could run circles around your Sherman wienies!! And I'd put their line up against yours any day--those Wildcats are big boys with bad attitudes!! And lay off Whitesboro--that school district is at the bottom of the 3A range and are up against teams like Celina, Prosper, and Argyle. Those kids give it their all every week. It has always been poor coaching. I know the coaching staff and from what I gathered they don't care. To self centered and administration continues to blame on the kids. No one thought we would be worth anything. The last time I checked there was no I in TEAM. Well, seems to me we are doing better than everyone thought we would do.
