It sure looks like the battle of the axe will be for much more than bragging rights this year. Sherman and Denison are both 4-0 in district, and both have cleared perhaps their biggest hurdle in Frisco Wakeland. Is it too early to start calling this the district title game? Maybe, but don't be surprised if it ends up that way.

Now for the important question... who wins the axe and the district this year? Denison was the overwhelming choice at the beginning of the season. But after what Sherman did to Wakeland last week, it kind of makes you think they've got something going now. Could be another classic.

    I live in sherman root for denison. But let us not forget boyh teams have played very good this year. The biggest problem I have with denison is to listen to or watch the game you would think denison only has 4 players. At least there are only 4 names I hear over and over again. What happened to the saying IT TAKES A WHOLE TEAM!Come on JACKETS lets sting'em where it hurts.

    We'll just see about that. Sherman has spread the ball around alot this year and can strike just as fast as denison can. Sherman is gonna suprise a lot of people on Friday night. Great job Bearcats on a great season so far. Go out and take care of business Cats!

    Jackets have to many weapons on offense to be stopped, sherman has a good offense as well but not as dangerous as denison. Jackets by 14

    I agree Densison does have a good team this year, but Sherman does too. THe Battle of the Axe is going to be a great game. I think that Sherman has a chance of taking. I would like to see Denison play McKinney now since they have made some improvements this season. Sherman and Denison played for District and Axe 2004 season, Sherman has a better coach to back his players so it will be fun to watch. GO BEARCATS! Good luck Gretta!

    Well it looks like Sherman and Denison will be batteling for the axe ansd ditrict championship. It is going to be one heck of a game. Hats of the Kenney this week, I like a coach who takes care of his players and make sure that the zebras are pulling flags when they need to be. Good luck next bearcats. GO Gretta!
