Seems like everyone is getting out of the way for the Texas Longhorns. They didn't have to face Sam Bradford or Jermaine Gresham. They won't have to face Dez Bryant when they play OSU. They won't even have to figure out a way to stop Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin.

It's not like Mack Brown and Colt McCoy need any breaks, but they are certainly getting a ton of them. If they can clear OSU on halloween, it should be smooth sailing for Texas. The Longhorns need to take advantage of this opportunity. Their path to the national title game will never set up easier than this. They have OSU, Central Florida, Baylor, and Texas A&M left. If they win those, it's on to the Big 12 title game against (name any North team here).

If you took all of the 85 Texas Boys off OU's team, They would not win 1 game all season. That is 85 out 105 players. OU's real name is UT AT NORMAN.

If we're talking about breaks, how about the break that OU got last year when the BCS moved them ahead of Texas, only to turn in a lackluster performance against Florida. I don't recall OU having any injury excuses when they got beat by Boise State. Football is football. You play with what you have and you don't make excuses. Let's face it. Channel 12 is biased in its support for OU and have been forever.

texas longhorns worked for everything they have. No one gave them anything. Not even the media. Not even 12-news because they will not even talk about their sucess on sports.

I miss OU being in the mix. Too bad Sam got hurt. Otherwise the Sooners would be 7-0 and nobody would be talking about the Longhorns.

I hope Texas can pull it off, but remember: this is college football where anything can (and usually does) happen. Watch out for that A&M game, and the Big XII Title Game (if they get there) is not a done deal either... see OU losing in 2003 to K-State. Then again, NONE of this matter if UT flames out this weekend in Stillwater. This thing is FAR from over for Bevo and company.

I agree. It couldn't be easier. But watch Mack screw it up. Haha.
