There has been alot of talk about teams leaving the Big 12 and joining the Big 10, Pac 10, SEC, you name it. I don't think it will happen and neither does OU President David Boren. Boren went on record saying he thinks the Big 12 will stay in tact. But I say... why settle for in tact. What about becoming the Big 16?

My Proposal:

Big 12 South - Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech, and add... ARKANSAS AND TCU

Big 12 North - Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas St., Missouri, Colorado, Iowa State, and add.... UTAH AND BYU

Obviously, the biggest hurdle would be luring Arkansas away from the SEC. But their recruiting base in Texas would certainly improve back to the way it was when they were great in the SWC. They get little or no mention in Texas anymore. I think TCU, Utah and BYU would be on board.
