The LeBron James sweepstakes is underway. After the Cavs' quick exit in the post-season, speculation is, LeBron's services are up for grabs. He could end up just about anywhere. So.... why not Dallas?
Looks like the favorites to land LeBron are as follows: Chicago, Miami, New York, New Jersey, and Cleveland. But not far behind, if behind at all, the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavs don't have the ability to sign LeBron outright. They will need to get creative with a sign and trade. Like the instant expiring contract of Erick Dampier, maybe cheap talent with a future like Roddy B, and then there is always Cuban's cash and future picks.
If you are LeBron, can you think of a better running mate than Dirk? It's going to be hard to share the ball with a guy like D-Wade (Miami) or Derrick Rose (Chicago). And he is much better than anything New Jersey, New York, Cleveland, or any other team significantly under the cap an offer.
I think LeBron to Dallas makes sense for LeBron. Of all the suitors out there, the Mavs give him the best chance to win a title in the short term. So tell me... why not Dallas?
