AC Women's Soccer Team blogs from England! - July 27th entry

Friday July 27, 2012

Today was a travel days for the Lady Roos, as we drove two hours to Coach Burns' hometown of Peterborough. Upon arrival, we checked into our hotel and walked to town where we explored the Cathedral and dined in at a local Asian restaurant. Throughout the walk, Paul's brother, Sean, informed us of many embarrassing stories of their childhood and showed us the hospital (which is now shut down) in which he was born. Needless to say, we were quite amused. After eating, we geared up and headed to a local field to kick around and stretch out our muscles. We then showered and got ready to head out on the town and watch the opening ceremonies in the local British environment. We all enjoyed the show and even more so the environment we were able to watch it in. We all made our way back to the hotel at the end of night and got to experience the British taxi scene as well, which was an adventure in itself. Tomorrow we get to go to our first Olympic events and we are beyond excited for such an amazing opportunity. Goodnight, America.

Yours truly,

Em & Em
