Can Durant and Westbrook co-exist?

Kevin Durant is great. Russell Westbrook is great. But can they be great together?

Kevin Durant is great. Russell Westbrook is great. But can they be great together? There seems to be some chemistry issues with these two. There has been alot of focus on the amount of shots taken by Westbrook. He should never out-shoot Durant (at least in terms of volume). As a point guard, his first duty is to get the ball to the hot hand (usually Durant), and shoot second. I know Westbrook is more of a scoring guard than a true point guard, but the Thunder will be at their best when he defers to KD, and then looks for his opportunities when Durant swings it back to him within the offense. Until then, I'm not sure the Thunder will be as good as their talent suggests they can be. But they are still pretty good. David Reed KXII Sports
