With all the pitchers going on the disabled list for the Rangers, they really needed the two guys left to step up. They did.
Colby Lewis threw a complete game shutout on Tuesday to give the worn out Rangers bullpen a break. Matt Harrison followed that by take a shutout into the 8th before handing it over to Mike Adams and Joe Nathan.
The Rangers got two badly needed wins from the two guys they have been able to count on most of the year. Hard to believe Harrison has won 5 in a row, and leads the AL in wins.
Now if some of the replacements can chip in, the Rangers can stay above water until more help arrives.
