If you are a Cable One customer in Sherman/Denison and a Dallas Mavericks fan, odds are you haven't been getting many games so far this season, and the cable company has no plans to change that this season.
The reason? Fox Sports Southwest this year has increased its Mavericks schedule and will show an all-time high 64 games, according to its website. The information goes on to state that a few cable providers have opted not to carry all 64 games, and will continue to carry the 40 games they have as in previous years. Here's the information:
A call to Cable One Sherman-Customer Service confirms that the company will not carry the additional games, citing they did not want their customers to have to pay the consequences for the additional money Fox Sports Southwest is charging for the extra 24 games.
I've had several people ask me why we aren't carrying these games on MyTexoma. We are only allowed to air a number of games NOT on FSSW that air in the DFW market on KTXA Channel 21, but since FSSW has the rights to 64 of the 82 games, that's why we can't bring you the Mavs either.
According to Fox Sports Southwest's website, satellite providers DirecTV and DISH Network are carrying all 64 of the games on FSSW this season.
