With the trade deadline looming, the Rangers have been linked to several big name pitchers. The time to act is now. You don't get a lot of chances at winning a world series, and the Rangers window is open. They should be able to land a front of the rotation arm (Cole Hamels, Zach Greinke) without giving up the top prospect (Profar).
You can be Jon Daniels is working the phones, and unfortunately, with Lewis going down, he just lost a little leverage.
