A weak frontal zone is bringing scattered relief in the form of summer thunderstorms to some Texomans. The front will linger in the area Friday-Saturday and will provide a focal point for a few more storms through Friday night.
After that, it’s back to the heat: Heat Advisories are posted for all of Texoma through the weekend.
Surface flow will be more southerly into next week as opposed to SW; this along with the high aloft will make it even more uncomfortable with Heat Index values of 107-112 each afternoon.
It’s likely to remain very hot perhaps into the middle of the week, although actual daytime highs should sneak to just under 100 by then.
