Heat builds into the weekend as subtropical high aloft dominates Texoma skies.
Texoma escaped hundred-degree weather on Tuesday as a mid-level trough and outflow boundary brought scattered thunderstorms and milder temperatures.
However, this “break from the heat” will be short lived; a massive upper high will return to dominate our weather through the weekend.
Highs should move back above 100 by Thursday and continue into next week.
The other problem will be very high heat index values.
A suggested computer model solution is for this high to weaken by the middle of next week.
I'm not buying into it this early, however. Stay tuned!
