I recently discovered that my coat needs a new zipper, and it’ll cost as much as the original purchase price to get it fixed. Santa, if you read this...well, let’s move on...
Last week, for Thanksgiving, we went to my brother’s in Dallas. It snowed pretty good for about 10 minutes that afternoon. It was neat to see those big flakes of snow! Then of course, there was the COLD rainy weekend that followed.
It looks like we’ll see rain again this weekend, but I do not expect it to be nearly as cold. An over-running pattern will develop as a deep trough carves itself out of the jet stream flow to our west. There will be another cold front moving through Friday, but the upper level wind currents should keep the deeper and colder air to our north and east. This front should then “back up” to the north on Saturday, as low pressure deepens to our west. Southerly winds returning mark a milder period. Rain, which will be "on and off" this weekend, should end by Sunday evening.
The weather pattern for next week, the first week of meteorological winter, looks to be very typical LaNina (see my blog about the Winter Outlook from November 5th by clicking here: http://www.kxii.com/blogs/weatherblog/11035761.html
This means cold nights but mild days as we head into the Monday-Wednesday time frame; and dry as well. Thanks for checking out my weather blog….and I hope that you have a blessed day!
