The snow did not materialize, except for a few flurries here and there, over Texoma. If you recall, I stated that only the northernmost counties of the Oklahoma portion of our viewing area had any real chance of seeing the snow stick, but most areas only saw a few flakes at best. 

Indeed, the National Weather Service predicted up to four inches of snow for Oklahoma City...but the City logged much less than that.  The map shows what happened:

1) The upper low tracked just a tad off of its expected course.

This pushed the snow zone about 75 miles further north.

2). Dry air circulating around the bottom of the upper low arrived sooner than expected, cutting off precipitation before the air became cold enough for snow.

This event in general was less intense than expected. Such is the nature of weather forecasts. If you're hoping for snow this winter, take heart. The season is young. Texoma can easily get snow even in late February.
