HIGH Fire Danger...Please Be Careful!

January 3, 2008

The record rainfall of last summer allowed for a great amount of brush and weed growth. Now, with several hard freezes under our belt, all of that vegetation is tinder dry and ready to burn.

Very gusty south to southwesterly winds from Thursday through Monday will make for a high fire danger situation over all of Texoma. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.

Much milder weather can be expected through Monday. The next cold front should pass through by Tuesday, possibly with thunderstorms along it.

 In the meantime…Take Care…
