April 11, 2008
We’ll get a break from the stormy pattern of the past two weeks as a large blob of dry, stable air moves in. The deep low pressure that helped to bring the April 9th/10th severe weather will move slowly northeastward; the very large circulation around this storm will pull quite a bit of cool air into the southern plains.
This means unseasonably cool temperatures for Friday through Monday morning.
Overnight lows may be cold enough for a light freeze in southern The dry air…which will move well south into the Gulf…should take several days to moisten up. This will keep the relative humidity very low through at least Tuesday. I don’t see another rain chance until around April 18th.
You might want to find your jacket for these cool nights…
