Severe Possible May 7th>>>UPDATE

May 7, 2008: UPDATE

The Storm Prediction Center has placed eastern and southern portions of Texoma...generally along and east of I-35 and south of Highway 70...in a Moderate Risk area for severe weather Wednesday afternoon and evening.

The upper low along with a dry line/cold front and afternoon heating may be sufficient to generate severe weather. A significant wind shear in the atmosphere suggests the threat for a few tornadoes. The storm threat should end before sunrise Thursday.

Take Care,

Steve LaNore
