Welcome rainfall doused Texoma on Tuesday. May is historically the wettest month of the year, but before today, most locations in Texoma were running less than 50% of "normal" May rainfall. Thus, this was very timely. These precipitation totals are through 3pm Tuesday and will be updated again later this evening:
Ada 1.95”
Antlers 2.15”
Ardmore 1.86”
Atoka 2.74”
Durant 1.51”
Gainesville 0.81”
Hugo 2.56”
Madill 1.07”
Marietta 1.79”
Tishomingo 1.86”
Sherman-Denison 2.22” (KXII Studios)
This is the best rainfall coverage we have seen in three weeks. It will restore the soil moisture and help keep things green.
We’ll return to a dry, but humid pattern beginning Thursday. Take Care,
