Rain Chances Very Low...
The upper trough I've been watching since Monday is taking a more southerly trek than anticipated. This, along with strengthening high pressure over Oklahoma and Texas, means that the vertical atmospheric moisture supply will be on the decrease; and we'll probably not see any rain this weekend. High pressure cells aloft cause sinking air. The sinking process heat the air up. I am not expecting anything like record heat, but daily highs will range from 95 to 100. Heat Index values may approach 105 in the hottest part of the day. One blessing: slightly drier air associated with the sinking air mass should allow for decent cooling each night. Lows will range from the mid 60s to lower 70s.
