Dolly: Last Gasp Brings Rain?

UPDATE: July 30, 2008

The trough delivered scattered, and in some cases severe, storms Wednesday. A few more, although more sparse in coverage, can be expected Thursday followed by a return to 100+ weather this weekend.  Stay cool!

========================PREVIOUS ENTRY==============================

July 29, 2008

The remains of “Dolly” are going to have an impact on Texoma weather, with our best general rainfall hopes of the past two weeks. The “Dolly” leftovers exist in the form of an upper trough which extends from Kansas into northwestern Texas . It will sink slowly southeast through Friday, keeping the atmosphere somewhat unstable.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will provide spotty relief from the heat; increased clouds will also serve to keep us in the low to mid 90s…closer to late July averages…for the next few days.

Here’s hoping your place cashes in on the rain jackpot!

Take Care,
