September 30, 2008
September 2008 goes down in the record books as one filled with great fall weather. Temperatures were two to three degrees below average, making it one of the cooler Septembers in the past 10 years. This was generally a blessing as September can be very hot, as we saw in the year 2000.
Rainfall, on the other hand, was quite skimpy during the month (see maps). Hugo was the only spot in Texoma (from among our standard sites) which measured more rainfall than “normal” for the month.
We can only hope October will bring a better moisture supply our way!
