Cold Nights through Monday…

Cold Nights through Monday…
Friday, 20 February 2009

March is just a week away, but February’s chill will hang tough this weekend with a polar air mass moving in. Lows Sunday morning will range from the upper teens to mid 20s. Some plants that have stirred to life from the recent warm spell will get quite a shock. A lighter freeze is expected Monday morning as well.

Warmer weather should return with southerly winds as we move deeper into the new week. Another chilly air mass continues to show up in the models for the last two days of February. Since the jet stream flow does not favor a big dose of cold, it’s something that could go either way depending on how dense this next air mass becomes.
