Spring is Near...

It's my favorite time of year...time to spring forward! Yep, you'll want to set your clocks ahead an hour tonight before you tuck yourself in your cozy bed. Our sunset will go from 6:28pm today to 7:29pm tomorrow. Sunrise for tomorrow will be at 7:45am. Maybe I will get to sleep in to a normal hour now? My 2 year-old son has a knack for waking up right at sunrise! Those of you with youngsters...this can be a tricky transition.

And what's the deal with windy Saturdays? This will be the 3rd in a row. Atleast it will be warm. I think the number one complaint I get from Texomans is that the weedays, as of late, have been nice and warm, and the weekends have been cold and windy. Well, mother nature is helping out with the first request, but insists on continuing the howling winds. But, can we really complain? I guess you can always complain, but I'm a half-full kind of girl! Rember March 6th, 2008? We had lots of that white stuff falling from the sky (several inches of snow fell). The kids were probably on their knees hoping for another snow day. I for one would rather deal with the wind! I had my fill of snow last year.

Now to rain chances...Man is it dry out there! We could really use a good soaking rain and we just might get it. While a couple of showers and thunderstorms are certainly possible this weekend, we'll get a better chance of rain as we start the week. Yay! We'll be back in the weather center hoping to come across some green colors on the radar screen (I just hope we don't get the yellows and reds)! The Storm Prediction Center has put us at a slight risk for severe storms Monday-Tuesday. Our eyes will be watching the skies!

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Wondering if the white stuff will be falling again soon? Looks wet and cold later this week. Moisture in any form will be welcome at this point.
