Mid-March Chill (But rain is good!)
Cold Bad, Rain Good
Even though we’re well into March, you’ll have to hunker down the next few days with the winter wear and the TV, friends and family, or what have you. It will definitely be inside weather for a while.
Of course, we can rejoice that we’re finally getting some desperately needed rainfall. Many farmers and ranchers are facing their biggest weather challenge since the 1950’s drought.
It’s quite possible that many spots in Texoma will receive more rain this week than seen so far this year: a fitting statistic to just how dry it has been (see my Spring 2009 Outlook blog for where we stand compared to normal).
