An upper level low is expected to press a new cold front towards Texoma this weekend.
This system will have plenty of low-level moisture to lift, so it’s probably going to fire up some storms along it.
The steering currents are looking to be rather feeble once the front gets here; this means that it may wiggle back and forth over Oklahoma and Texas for several days.
Given this set-up, expect some rain on and off from Friday evening through early next week.
Good news for your yard (and our lakes); not so good for your picnic.
