Severe Storm Risk Lowered : UPDATE

UPDATE: A strong "cap" in the atmosphere will serve to limit severe storm potential tonight, although a few rough storms are still possible.

A northward-moving warm front, and an upper wave moving by means we will have continued unstable conditions overnight. Considerable wind shear means even more trouble.

This  pattern suggests that any storm forming tonight may contain tornadoes, winds, or hail along with heavy rain. The overall risk has been lowered to "slight" because there is more uncertainty whether any storms will form at all; however if they do form, they still have severe potential.

Storms may linger into Wednesday morning with the slow-moving frontal boundary.

Take Care,

Steve
