![]() An upper ridge setting up shop over Oklahoma and Texas points to a textbook heat wave pattern for this week.
This ridge will produce sufficient sinking motion to get many places to around 100 for daytime highs.
With a strong “cap” in place, rain chances will be zero.
How long will this pattern last? Tough to say; these ridges can remain in place for many weeks; the long-range computer models suggest this particular high may weaken or move a bit by the weekend, so we’ll have to wait and see.
