An upper ridge setting up shop over Oklahoma and Texas points to a textbook heat wave pattern for this week.

This ridge will produce sufficient sinking motion to get many places to around 100 for daytime highs.

With a strong “cap” in place, rain chances will be zero.

How long will this pattern last? Tough to say; these ridges can remain in place for many weeks; the long-range computer models suggest this particular high may weaken or move a bit by the weekend, so we’ll have to wait and see.

Take Care,

Individuals tend not understand the impact of consistent high temperatures. Factor in Humidity and UV index and there is a definite health risk. Remain hydrated and monitor children’s outdoor activates. Better yet plan indoor activities for the youngsters. Be sure and use plenty of sun screen (SPF 15 ) wear hates and sunglasses when outdoors.
