Several cold fronts and a series of upper waves will keep Texoma skies fluctuating between stormy and partly cloudy episodes into next week.
This forecast is based upon a northwesterly flow aloft and southerly flow at the surface. This makes for an unstable air mass with steering winds bringing fronts our way. Each front serves as a focal point for more shower and storm formation, and the upper waves provide further lifting zones for rain formation.
Along with more clouds and rain potential, cooler air masses behind each front should keep temperatures below late July/early August averages.
