Labor Day Weekend: Upper Low is Key

The Labor Day weekend weather will not be affected by “Jimena” as it rapidly dissipates over Baja, but a pesky upper low promises to bring a chance of rain at least through Saturday.

This feature will be trapped in an area of weak steering currents and that’s why there is uncertainty regarding its movement.

The first half of the weekend (Friday-Saturday) will likely have at least scattered showers and thunderstorms. If the upper low jogs to the east as expected by Sunday, then only a slight chance of daytime heat showers will linger.

I will post an update to this blog Friday afternoon as the situation evolves.
