Rain Moving Out for the Weekend

The outlook is improving for rain to move away in time for the weekend.

An upper low is meandering over Kansas and a southerly flow of moisture is being lifted over a stalled front to our south. This is a good set-up for clouds and rain through Friday.

As the upper low moves eastward, the wind field should shift to a west-to-east flow (around the bottom of the low). The will bring drier air into the region. The rain is expected to end during the day Friday.

A dry flow from the northwest should make for a cool nights and mild to warm day Saturday.  Southwesterly winds Sunday afternoon could boost highs to near 90 just ahead of another strong front coming Monday.

All in all, a very active pattern, but a dry one after Friday morning, is expected.

Take Care,
