The next opportunity for rain comes Thursday and perhaps into Friday morning as a cold front forms over the western states and moves our way. This means October may come in on a stormy note.
A deep upper low dropping southward out of Alaska brings a second lifting source to enhance thunderstorm potential.
Since the upper low center is expected to be well to the north of Texoma (map), the risk of severe storms looks to be on the low side at this time, but there is still some chance we’ll get strong storms sometime late Thursday.
In the meantime, great fall weather will continue. Enjoy!
