A heavy rain event is shaping up for Texoma Wednesday night/Thursday. The HPC says amounts from 1-3 inches are possible, especially east of I-35 (map above).

A slow-moving cold front and upper low will move west to east across the region at that time; since the upper low may lag a bit behind the front, this could prolong the rain into at least the first half of Thursday.

High moisture content will be present as a result of Gulf moisture plus high-level contribution from leftovers from Hurricane “Rick”.

Drier weather looks to return for Friday and Saturday as winds shift to the northwest at both the surface and aloft.

Take Care,

Step it up Jeff, if you're in line with what we got 30 minutes ago, you need to be loading the animals by now!

I hope the rain does come - wouldn't want to have gotten my car window fixed today for nothing! But I reckon it needed doing anyhow.
