Winds Crank Up For The Weekend...

A noticeable weather change will take place during the weekend over Texoma.
It will be getting rather windy, and relative humidity values will be moving upward.
A tight pressure field develops between low pressure forming to our northwest and surface high pressure retreating eastward. South winds may exceed 30mph both Friday and Saturday. This surface pressure scenario is shown as the tight grouping of dark lines on the map above.
This brisk southerly flow will begin to tap Gulf moisture as the process continues. Since the air is still rather dry even over southern Texas, it will take a couple of days before the air becomes “humid” here, which it will do by Sunday/Monday.
Showers and perhaps thunderstorms may show up Monday or Tuesday depending on the exact track of an upper low and surface front moving through.
Take Care,
