Feb 2010: 5th coldest on record (so far)

Monday, 15 Feb 2010 / 4pm

With more than half of February behind us, I thought we’d take a look at how temperatures have been running so far this month.

Well, it’s no secret Texoma has been much colder than average.

There has only been one day so far in the month (Feb 5th) where highs were at or above their normal figures.

The "normal" for early-mid February would be 42.0 degrees, and so far this month we're at 36.2 degrees; almost 6 degrees below the 30-year average.

When daily highs and lows are averaged together from the 1st to the 15th, we find that February 2010 has the 5th lowest  average temperature on record and also the coldest so far this century.

Stay warm!

Take Care,
