A large upper low, the same one that brought Monday’s rainfall, will linger over Kansas for several days. As it does so, it will absorb the circulations of two other passing upper level systems.
This Kansas low will grow larger as it draws in the additional energy. It should slowly move eastward beginning Friday.
A chilly air mass pivoting southward on the western side of the low (counterclockwise winds) will make for cooler conditions this coming weekend. If it stays cloudy, highs may not get much above 50 on Friday.
