Frost Possible Sunday

Farmers and green thumbs beware!

Frost or even a light freeze is expected Sunday morning. This is when skies should be clear over all of Texoma. Dewpoints will be in the low 30s, and wind will be nearly calm (see graphic above).

While a hard freeze is not anticipated, frost damage could take place if you don’t cover or bring in tender plants.

Chilly nights will continue into the middle of next week, but various factors such as wind and/or cloud cover leads me to believe Sunday morning presents the maximum frost threat.

By the way, this is quite common for mid-March as our average last freeze date is March 15th.

Take Care,
